The Greater Rockwell Organization, or GRO, will be hosting a Cook County commissioner and former state legislator at their monthly meeting Tuesday, Dec. 4 at Luther Memorial Church, 2500 W. Wilson.
Per the GRO announcement:
“Cook County Commissioner John Fritchey will speak to GRO at its December meeting. Fritchey has served as commissioner of the 12th District since 2010 and previously was a legislator in the Illinois House of Representatives for 14 years. Fritchey will give his insights into the recently passed county budget as well as the $2 million Violence Prevention, Intervention and Reduction fund that he spearheaded.”
Around in 1979, GRO is a membership organization devoted to promoting civic pride as well as community welfare. GRO’s boundaries are: Wilson (south); Lawrence (north); Western (east); and the Chicago River (west).
GRO meets at Lutheran Memorial every first Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm.
